Details

Five little wooden friends, five big feelings. Children stack each doll from three pieces – a body, a face and a hat – and match them to the picture cards, or mix them up to create their own characters. Happy, cheeky, sad, calm or cross: every face is a chance to talk about how we feel.

  • Stack and match: 15 wooden pieces slot onto 5 pegs on a sturdy plywood base
  • 8 double-sided pattern cards: copy the picture by colour, shape and expression
  • Emotions and words: name each feeling together and talk about when we feel it
  • Early thinking skills: colours, shapes, sequencing and concentration
  • Ready to give: arrives in a printed box

Hats, faces, little friends

Slide a body onto the peg, add a face, top it off with a hat. Pick a card and build the dolls to match, or mix and match to create silly new friends. Each little stack is a small puzzle of colours, shapes and order for curious hands.

How do they feel today?

Point to a face and ask: is this one happy, sad or cross? What might have happened? Talking about the dolls’ feelings is a gentle, playful way to help little ones find words for their own, and to share a quiet moment together.
