Our toys are made for babies and young children, so we want play to be as safe as it is fun. Here’s what to look for, and how to keep your toys in good shape for years.
Age guidance
Each toy shows a recommended age on its product page and packaging. Please follow it. Toys for children over 3 may contain small parts that are not suitable for younger children, even if the toy looks simple.
Natural wood
Our toys are made from wood, so the grain and shade can vary slightly from one piece to another. This is part of their character, not a fault.
Keeping play safe at home
- Young children should always play under adult supervision.
- Check toys regularly for cracks, splinters or loose parts, and stop using any toy that is damaged.
- Keep packaging, including plastic bags, away from babies and young children.
- Follow any warnings shown on the product page or packaging.
Caring for wooden toys
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed, then leave to air dry.
- Never soak wooden toys or put them in the dishwasher or microwave.
- Keep them out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, which can dry out and crack the wood.
- Once or twice a year, unpainted wood can be refreshed with a little food-safe beeswax or coconut oil.
